We are moved by your mission of Black Women Abroad to remove financial barriers and provide scholarships for Spelman students to study abroad. It is a cause that resonates deeply with us, and we are honored that a portion of the proceeds from our tour goes to endowing this scholarship. Johnette and Black Women Abroad made our first trip to Africa an event we will never forget. The itinerary she created for our crew was exceptional. We hit every place we wanted to hit without even having to ask. In Rwanda, we saw everything from the golden monkeys to the innovation of Zipline. We were blessed with a trip to the African Leadership University and even had great luck on safari. Zanzibar was filled with breathtaking views. Luxury resort accommodations. The slavery museum was a must see. Thank you for such a well curated trip. We will be traveling with you again on our next trip to the continent.
What a superlatively fabulous experience! Johnette Iris and her top-notch team of local and international subject experts surpassed even my most generous expectations. I was repeatedly amazed by their extensive and intimate knowledge of all things Rwandan, their impeccable attention to detail and the inexhaustible spirit of warmth, friendliness and overall joie de vivre that permeated every aspect of this adventure. Exceptional tour! Well organized, with personable, knowledgeable guides. Our driver,Emmanuel, was a gem-reliable, friendly and professional throughout the trip. We especially appreciated the varied activities on the itinerary—Safari, City tour and Lakeside Eco-retreat.
